Parklands Quendon Hall

Siobhan & James | Parklands Quendon Hall

An elegant spring wedding on the Essex-Hertfordshire border.

There are couples you meet before a wedding and just know. Siobhan and James were that kind of couple. Considered in the way they’d put their day together, completely at ease with each other, and the sort of people who made everyone around them feel like the day belonged to all of them – not just the two at the centre of it.

Parklands Quendon Hall sits on the Essex and Hertfordshire border, tucked into its own grounds with a deer park that gives the venue a sense of space and seclusion you don’t always find this close to home. It was my first time photographing here. It would not be my last.

The day

Spring light at Quendon Hall is something. The grounds were fresh and green, the deer park offering the kind of backdrop that doesn’t need any dressing – just open space and good light and two people who are genuinely happy to be there.

Siobhan and James carried the elegance of their day lightly. There was a considered quality to everything they’d chosen – the details, the setting, the way the day was structured – without any of it feeling stiff or self-conscious. That balance is harder to achieve than most couples realise, and these two had it naturally.

What Siobhan & James said

“When we first met Tel, we knew instantly he was the perfect person to stand with us on our wedding day. Tel was absolutely faultless from start to finish in capturing our day. He was so creative in making sure we had captured the perfect shots and nothing was too much trouble for him – always thinking of how to make the moments so special. Not only this but he also made us feel so comfortable and at ease throughout the day, and therefore we felt that nothing was staged. On top of this, Tel is such a wonderful man and someone we instantly clicked with, who also made our guests feel really special. Absolute top quality and couldn’t rate him highly enough.”

Planning a wedding at Parklands Quendon Hall?

Quendon Hall sits on the Essex and Hertfordshire border – close enough to be convenient, tucked away enough to feel like a genuine escape. The deer park alone makes it worth considering if you want outdoor portraits with real depth and scale. I’ve photographed several weddings here now and know the venue well in every season.

If you’re planning your day here and want to talk through what’s possible, I’d love to hear from you.
